If you’re a romantic, you’re probably familiar with the idea of love languages, but how much do you really know about them in practice?

The idea was coined by Dr. Gary Chapman in his 1992 book ‘The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate’ and it can give you a better idea of how to express your feelings to your partner. It can also give you some insight into how you like (or don’t like) to be shown affection.

Knowing your partner’s love language is a key part of a fulfilling relationship, so let’s dig in deeper to really understand each of the five languages and how you can express them better.
